What is the NBHL?
"The National Ball Hockey League (NBHL) is the first nationwide ball hockey league in the United States and is the first league ever sanctioned by USA Ball Hockey - the governing body of the sport in the United States. The NBHL is an amateur league, so all players pay to play and do not get paid by the NBHL." - theNBHL.com. The NBHL is looking to expand their leagues into Canada beginning in the 2025 season.
Where is the NBHL going to play in Niagara?
Currently, MC Sports Group is still actively in discussions for a facility in Niagara to house the NBHL starting in 2025. We are ensuring that the facility matches our standards and will help provide the level of professional care that we believe all stakeholders deserve.
What is the format for the NBHL in Niagara for 2025?
The NBHL Canadian divisions will follow a tournament format for regular seasons.This consists of games being played every 4-6 weeks, with multiple games in one weekend. This format allows for teams to proactively ensure players are available to play, while also reducing the stress that may apply with spring/summer commitments outside of ball hockey.
